This week, we began prototyping! Being that our ideas are fairly simple in nature, there isn't much math to do here - just ideas and theories to bring to life and test out through trial and error.
Using the resources available to us, we tackled the watery condiment problem right away by using Inventor to create some cap designs and/or cap additions, which we then exported to Cura and created on the MMAE department's 3D printers. Despite setbacks due to printer and material problems, we managed to create 6 designs this week, along with one pump dispenser design that made use of a 3D-printed 90 degree tube.
Next week will be time for our sketch model presentation, so all members were tasked to create at least one design for each need, show the theory behind them, and test them.
